Dana Teen Lomax is an internationally recognized writer who has been teaching composition and creative writing for over 20 years; Dana has inspired young writers at the elementary, middle, high school, and college levels. Currently, Dana teaches English and History at Del Mar Middle School and has served as a Lecturer in San Francisco State University's English and Composition Department for over two decades. She has won several awards for her writing and teaching, including, most recently, the Lion and Unicorn Prize for North American Children's Literature from John Hopkins University Press and the Tiburon Arts Educator Award.
